Rap group Public Enemy are to perform their greatest hits at Bestival on the Isle of Wight on Friday 9 September.

Radio 1 DJ and festival organiser Rob da Bank made the announcement by mistake on Twitter on Tuesday evening.

He said: "Oops just seem to have let it slip that public enemy are comin to bestival as a festi exclusive."

The Cure and Primal Scream, who'll be performing their 1991 album Screamadelica, have previously been confirmed as the other two headliners.

Other acts confirmed for Bestival, which takes place between 8-11 September at Robin Hill Country Park, include Robyn, Crystal Castles, Magnetic Man, Katy B, DJ Shadow and Brian Wilson from The Beach Boys.

Last year it was voted best festival at the UK festival awards.

This year's theme has also been revealed as Rock Stars, Pop Stars and Divas.
