Celebrities like Leona Lewis and JLS are selling Twitter follows on eBay to raise money for Red Nose Day.

The highest bidding fans will be followed for 90 days by their chosen star on Twitter with some of the stars also offering a gift.

Alexa Chung, McFly and Alexandra Burke are among other famous names taking part plus some Radio 1 DJs.

Twitter lets users follow each other online and see short updates about what friends or famous people are doing.

Some, like Kanye West or Lily Allen, have millions of people following their Twitter pages but often only follow a handful of close friends or other stars.

As well as following their Twitter page for 90 days, the celebs will also mention winning bidders' names in one tweet, and retweet one of their comments.

Meanwhile, the highest bidder to be followed by Alexa Chung will get a handbag from her own fashion range, while survival TV star Bear Grylls is offering autographed merchandise.

Former X Factor singers Diana Vickers and Mary Byrne, plus Radio 1's Aled Haydn Jones, Scott Mills and Fearne Cotton are also taking part in the auction.
