Kasabian say they are aware some fans have not received tickets for their warm up gig at the O2 Academy Sheffield after buying them online.

Dozens of fans have complained after using a website called Ticket Index.

Kasabian said in a statement: "This site is the subject of a criminal investigation and the police and Action Fraud, the UK's national fraud reporting centre, are aware of it.

"Any customer affected should follow the instructions from Action Fraud."

The website has not responded to emails from Newsbeat and wasn't contactable over the phone.

Website Safe Concerts say they have received 150 complaints from fans about not receiving Take That tickets.

On Thursday (2 June) City of London Police confirmed they were considering investigating claims that fans had not received tickets bought online through secondary ticketing site, Ticket Index, for their Progress Live tour.

They said they were looking at information provided by the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau.

Concert promoters SJM Concerts said in a statement: "People who have bought tickets on fraudulent websites should speak to their bank/credit card company about getting a refund and are advised to go on Ticketmaster or See Tickets where late ticket releases are made available for many shows at face value."

Derren Nugent, co-founder of the Website Safe Concerts site, said: "We've had contacts from people all over the country with Sunderland and Manchester the worst hit areas. We expect that to follow around the country, in line with the Take That tour.

"There are an awful lot of people potentially sitting on a time bomb as they won't know whether they are going to get their tickets or not.

"What we suggest is people need to check as soon as possible whether the site they've bought their tickets from is legitimate, so they can wipe their brows and sit back, knowing they'll go to the concert or at least they'll have time to look into it and possibly source other tickets."

Emma Gittens, 22 and from Cheshire, has had problems with Take That tickets.

"I spent £750 on eight tickets for this Sunday, 5 June, in Manchester.

"I just got an email saying the allocation of tickets hasn't been successful and wasn't the right amount, so unfortunately they've done everything that they could but we've been unsuccessful in our allocation.

"When they sent their email the other day, they said they would refund my money today (2 June), and it still isn't in my account."
