Chase and Status revealed Tinie Tempah's studio drink is peppermint tea

Chase and Status have told Newsbeat their number one festival tip is "get a tour manager".

The duo, Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status), have played at Glastonbury already this year and are set for appearances at T in the Park and Wakestock.

Kennard joked: "Bring boots, wellington boots, and a tour manager.

"Get a tour bus and someone that can carry you around and you're rolling."

The duo are just back from recording a video with Tinie Tempah in New York, an experience Milton called "really happy".

'Great day'

"We went to Flatbush in New York which is a sort of Jamaican part of town and got into an old recording studio with Tinie there.

"We had a great day shooting all kinds of scenes, then we got in an old car and drove around the Bronx.

"And yeah we squeezed it into one day, we ended up in a club with a sort of house party club scene," he said.

The pair also explained that after meeting Tinie at a string of music festivals they all felt it was about time they teamed up for a track.

"We wrote the beat and were touring all year with Tinie - it just became a situation of 'do you want to do a tune?'

"He came to the studio, he liked the beat, he had a glass of peppermint tea, his drink of choice in the studio, and yeah - the tune was done."

Chase and Status play T in the Park in Scotland on Saturday 9 July.
