Rihanna concert cut short in Dallas after small fire

Rihanna has been forced to cut short a gig in Dallas after a fire broke out on stage (Friday 8 July).

The crowd at the American Airlines Center was evacuated after a small blaze broke out on the lighting rig.

It happened as the singer finished her track California King Bed.

According to a report from local newspaper The Fort Worth Star-Telegram the 12,500 audience were escorted out of the venue and there were no injuries.

The singer did not return to the stage.

After the show the Umbrella singer Tweeted: "DALLAS!!! We set the stage on FYAH tonight!!! LITERALLY!!!"

She added: "Glad u guys are safe!!! I promise I'll be back!!! Heading into a production meeting to find out exactly what happened!!! Keep u posted."

There has been no official announcement as to whether the show will be rearranged.
