Lady Gaga has been tweeting about the suicide of a 14-year-old boy who had complained about being bullied over his sexuality.

Jamey Rodemeyer posted videos describing how bad it was for him at school.

He also mentioned getting hateful messages online in the months before he took his own life.

The singer wrote: "I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end."

President Obama has already said he hoped to "dispel the myth that bullying is...an inevitable part of growing up."

That was back in March when the White House hosted a conference on bullying.

Next week Gaga plans to attend an Obama fundraiser but a spokesman for the President said that no private meeting has been scheduled.

New York state doesn't have an anti-bullying law but bullies can be charged with harassment or aggravated harassment.

Police are investigating whether to bring criminal charges in the case of Jamey Rodemeyer.
