Ewan McGregor says he'd like to play Sir Elton John in the singer's upcoming musical biopic, Rocket Man.
The actor, who's been tipped for the part, said it would be "wicked" if he were asked.
Speaking at the premiere of his new film Perfect Sense in London, the star said: "That would be great, I'd like to play Elton John."
James McAvoy and Guy Pierce are names that have also been linked to the main part in the Elton John film.
In Perfect Sense, Ewan McGregor plays a chef who loses his sense of taste and smell after an epidemic sweeps across the world.
The star says he enjoyed portraying an optimist.
"That part of the character I was just able to play myself," he said. "I am very like that."
Meanwhile, Bond Girl Eva Green, who plays scientist Susan and McGregor's love interest, revealed she had to eat flowers, lipstick and toothpaste.
Perfect Sense also stars McGregor's uncle Denis Lawson.
He said it was "fantastic" working alongside his uncle for the first time.
