Gary Speed: Your Facebook tributes to Wales manager
- Published
Gary Speed has died aged 42. The Wales manager was found at his home in Cheshire on Sunday morning - it appears he took his own life.
One of the Premier League's most capped players, his career saw him make 677 top flight appearances and score 103 goals.
He played for clubs including Leeds, Everton, Newcastle and Bolton.
Speed also captained his country as a player - making 85 appearances - and in 2011 went on to manage the side, helping Wales rise to 45th in the FIFA rankings.
Here are some of your tributes from the Newsbeat, external and 1Xtra Facebook pages, external.

R.I.P. Gary Speed- legendary footballer who exemplified dedication and skill.
Taken at 42 years young, he has accomplished more than most can hope for in his career in the beloved sport and will always be remembered in history. Well done, sir.
We should not judge for it is not our place on this tragedy, but appreciate his success and wish condolences to his family.
Jason Kent, Westbury
Very sad weekend for football, a true gentleman and great player and looking like a very very good Wales manager.
Thoughts are with his family and friends. R.I.P Gary Speed.
Liam McArdle
I'm a massive Middlesbrough fan but growing up I had more posters of Speed on my walls.
He was one of my idols and even though I didn't know him and he didn't play for my team I still can't get over what has happened.
He was a true Premier league legend. RIP Speedo.
Michael Gray, Turriff
There is only a handful of players/managers, being ex-Newcastle or not, that I admire as a person - even if they score against my team. Gary Speed was right up there.
A true legend in every way. RIP Gary

If only he could have found the strength to talk to someone this tragedy might not have happened.
It's the people who love him that are left with the hurt. A sad end to a great sportsman. R.I.P SPEEDY. X

RIP Gary! It's so sad :( I wouldn't say he is selfish.
I'm training to be a mental health nurse and what most of us do not realize is that it's easy to see a broken arm and it can be mende but never a broken mind!
Never judge people until you walk in their path!
Kenny Trainer, Gateshead
He was one of the best midfielders of his time, especially at Newcastle United.
He will always be an adopted Geordie for what he did at our club... and am sure I speak for all the Newcastle supporters that our thoughts are with his family.
RIP Speedy hope you're at peace now!!!
