Kanye West announced plans for a compilation album in October

Frank Ocean, Jay Electronica and Pusha-T are working on Kanye West's new compilation album, it has been revealed.

In October, West announced plans for an album which featured tracks by artists signed to his independent record label G.O.O.D. Music.

G.O.O.D., which stands for Getting Out Our Dreams, is part of the Def Jam Music Group.

John Legend, Mr Hudson and Big Sean are all reportedly working on the record.

Rapper Pusha-T announced his involvement in the project on his official website on Wednesday morning (18 January).

Marsha Ambrosius, former Floetry member, also revealed she was recording new music for the album.

She tweeted: "Kanye sessions Day 2. In the studio with Frank Ocean, Big Sean, Pusha T, Manny Fresh.

"Kanye West is on the way!!! I'm having fun today. And @JayElectronica just arrived :)"

She later wrote: "Thoroughly enjoyed my quick trip to London. Witnessed greatness."

Mannie Fresh has previously worked with Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy.

Frank Ocean was recently revealed as the runner-up on the BBC Sound of 2012 list.

The upcoming G.O.O.D. compilation album is due to be released in the spring.
