Reality TV star Mark Wright is in talks with film directors about his first movie role.
The TOWIE actor recently told Newsbeat it's his dream to "go into acting".
A spokesman for the 32-year-old confirmed: "We are talking to film companies".
Last year, Mark Wright announced he would be leaving The Only Way Is Essex.
A former semi-professional footballer for the youth team at Tottenham Hotspur, the trained actor is now co-presenting Take Me Out:The Gossip on ITV2.
Last week, at the London film premiere of The Woman in Black, he said: "'I've done acting as a kid, I spent 10 years at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, so hopefully I will go into acting."
However, his spokesman couldn't confirm any definite roles for him yet, but said: "We are talking to film companies to see what they can offer."
Despite leaving The Only Way Is Essex at the end of series 3, Mark Wright said he "would carry on watching the show".
"The time was right for me to leave. But I'm looking forward to watching it, it will be amazing like it's always been," the actor added.
