You Me At Six have rescheduled part of their tour of the UK and Ireland, due to illness.

The band said lead singer Josh Franceschi is suffering from "acute tonsillitis".

Gigs at Dublin's Olympia and Belfast's Ulster Hall, due to take place this week, have been rearranged for 7 and 8 April respectively.

Tickets for those shows will remain valid.

The tour is set to resume at Leicester's O2 Academy on 17 March.

A statement on the Surrey band's website said: "We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Please join us in wishing Josh a speedy recovery!"

Fans are also being offered refunds for the rescheduled shows.

The fivesome released their most recent album Sinners Never Sleep in 2011.
