Blink-182 have cancelled a show at London's Brixton Academy tonight (26 July) due to illness.

Lead singer and bassist Mark Hoppus was taken ill following a performance at the same venue last night.

A statement from the band said he had been diagnosed with "bronchitis, laryngitis and sinusitis".

They said it was the "last thing they wanted to do" but that the decision had been made on doctor's advice.

The confirmation from the US rockers said "regrettably a rescheduled date cannot not be arranged".

They have told fans to return to the place they bought their tickets for a refund.

The show in London was set to be the final night of the trio's UK tour.
