Cheryl Cole and will.i.am are 'fine' after LA car crash

Cheryl Cole and will.i.am have taken to Twitter to tell fans they are "fine" after being involved in a car crash in Los Angeles.

The pair were on their way back from a recording studio when the accident happened yesterday (29 August).

Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am wrote: "Car accidents are not dope...I'm glad I'm o.k #wiplash."

Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole tweeted: "Don't worry me and @iamwill are fine, promise x."

According to reports, will.i.am was driving a Cadillac which hit a parked car while Cole was in the front passenger seat.

Will.i.am's manager also took to Twitter to reassure fans that the pair were not injured.

He said: "Just spoke to @iamwill everything is OK. he and @cherylcole are both fine. it was a minor fender bender after a long day/night in the studio.

"They are both OK. a little bit shaken BUT thankfull that noone got hurt."

Will.i.am, who was pictured with a bloody nose, was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital while Cheryl Cole was treated at the scene.

The day before the crash, will.i.am's new single Reach For the Stars became the first piece of music broadcast back to Earth from Mars.

The song was played back by Nasa's Curiosity rover as part of an educational event, a collaboration between Nasa and the Black Eyed Peas rapper's i.am.angel Foundation.
