Mercury Prize nominee Jessie Ware announces UK tour

Jessie will play seven UK dates and is also touring in November 2012

Jessie Ware has announced a short UK tour for March 2013.

The first show is at Cambridge Junction on 6 March and it finishes on 13 March at Shepherds Bush Empire in London. Tickets go on sale on 28 September.

Londoner Jessie is one of 12 acts nominated for this year's Mercury Prize for her album Devotion.

Speaking at a special Mercury gig this week, the 26-year-old said she "jumped for joy" when she found out she was nominated.

She told Newsbeat she had to keep the news to herself for a while and "couldn't even tell her mum" until the official announcement.

As well as the March tour, the singer is also playing previously-announced UK and European dates in November.

The dates for the 2013 tour are:
