One Direction's Zayn denies ban on interview questions

One Direction star Zayn Malik has denied claims the group have banned interviewers from asking them certain questions.
It's after a DJ in Canada refused to talk to the singer, claiming he'd been handed a list of topics he must avoid by a female member of the band's press team.
Zayn told Scott Mills on Radio 1 that it was a misunderstanding: "The reason she was saying you can't ask these questions is because of the fans.
"They want to hear some new things, they want to know what's going on. They don't want to hear the same things over and over again."
Zayn, who was guest hosting a 2 hour long afternoon show on Saturday alongside Scott, claimed: "We always get asked the same questions so we just thought we'd mix it up a bit and try and rule out a few questions so we get some new ones."
He said he 'didn't have a clue' what was going on when the Canadian DJ said goodbye before asking anything.
Scott went on to ask the singer some of the supposed banned questions which included 'who is your celebrity crush', 'which of the band members have girlfriends?' and 'who came up with the name One Direction?'.
Zayn laughed and replied "Um..." to each one.
He was on air as part of a series of shows ahead of Radio 1's Teen Awards on Sunday 7 October which One Direction are headlining at Wembley Arena. Each band member co-hosted with a different DJ throughout the day.
