Kasabian have been confirmed as headliners of April's Snowbombing festival in Mayrhofen, Austria.

The band join the likes of Example, Katy B, Rudimental and Carl Cox on the line-up.

As well as playing a show in Mayrhofen town, they are also set to play a second more intimate gig on the mountain itself.

The festival takes place between 1-6 April 2013 and is Europe's biggest snow and music event.

Snowbombing features gigs in some unusual locations such as a forest clearing and a venue carved out of ice and snow.

The week of the festival also includes a fancy dress street party through the Austrian ski resort.

Acts to have played in previous years have included Dizzee Rascal, Labrinth, The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim and Tinie Tempah.
