Inbetweeners actor James Buckley has married partner Clair Meek in a ceremony outside Edinburgh.

Buckley, who plays Jay in the E4 show, was joined by co-stars Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison at Dundas Castle.

"Got married yesterday, wonderful day," he tweeted. "Didn't wanna mention it 2 keep it private but those sneaky paps still gotta pic! None of harrison.

"So 1st day after being married. Can finally let that waste line explode."

The comedy actor has been dating Scottish model Clair Meek for more than two years.

The pair had a baby boy called Harrison last October.

The 25-year-old also revealed on Twitter that he and his new wife were not going on a honeymoon.

"We decided to just spend some time at home alone together with our son, coz of work this hasn't been possible since July!"

Other celebrities at the wedding included fellow actor Danny Dyer, whose partner Joanne Mas caught the bride's bouquet.

James Buckley appeared in last year's Inbetweeners film, with Clair Meek accompanying him while they filmed in Magaluf, Majorca.

It sees characters Will (Simon Bird), Neil (Blake Harrison), Simon (Joe Thomas) and Jay head to Crete for a lads' holiday.

Speaking last year, Meek said Buckley was nothing like his on-screen character Jay.

"James could not be more different to Jay," the 24-year-old said. "He's quite shy and quiet and very thoughtful.

"James takes care of me. We're not party animals. We're just normal and prefer a night in watching TV."
