Actress Christina Applegate married her musician boyfriend at her home in LA on Sunday, while the rest of Hollywood focused on the Oscars.
The Anchorman star wed Martyn LeNoble, who was a founding member of the 1990s alternative rock band, Porno for Pyros.
A spokesperson for the couple said they were "surrounded by family in a private ceremony".
The pair have been together since 2008, were engaged in 2010 and have a two-year-old daughter, Sadie.
Christina Applegate has been nominated for Emmy and Golden Globe awards for her role in Samantha Who? and also won an Emmy in 2003 for her guest role as Rachel's sister in Friends.
Anchorman sequel
The 41-year-old is also well known for her role as Veronica Corningstone in Anchorman, opposite Will Ferrell's Ron Burgundy.
They are both reprising their roles, alongside Paul Rudd and Steve Carell, for the upcoming sequel, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
The 2004 comedy was set at a San Diego television news station based in the 1970s.
Also signed up for the new movie are Bridesmaids star Kristen Wiig and James Marsden of X-Men.
Secrecy has been high as production begins for a March shoot in Atlanta.
The film is due for release on 20 December.
