Radio 1 Breakfast DJ Nick Grimshaw and British rappers Rizzle Kicks have been lined up to host two separate music programmes on Channel 4.
Grimshaw will present an hour-long music quiz, which will also feature performances. The show has the working title That Music Show.
Rizzle Kicks duo Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule will host a show called Smells Like Friday Night.
Channel 4 says both shows will have "stand-out live performances".
Pilot editions of the shows have been given the official go-ahead. It's hoped full series will be commissioned afterwards.
Nick Grimshaw is currently hosting Sweat The Small Stuff on BBC Three. Its first episode attracted an audience of just over 400,000 viewers.
In the past he has appeared on Channel 4 as a presenter of T4.
Rizzle Kicks will be joined on screen by comedian Rob Beckett and presenter and model Billie JD Porter.
Producers say That Music Show will be set in a well known music venue and would combine a "vibrant award-style feel" quiz with a raucous gig.
The "newest to the biggest names in music" will be on the line-up.
Channel 4 Head of Formats Dominic Bird said: "These two shows provide us with a great opportunity to put music back on the agenda."
In March Rizzle Kicks confirmed they were working on a new sitcom.
However, despite the show being at the pilot stage they said they were scrapping their plans and "starting again".
