McFly's Danny Jones announces engagement on Twitter

McFly guitarist Danny Jones has announced his engagement to his long-term girlfriend Georgia Horsley.

The 27-year-old tweeted a picture of himself with Georgia Horsley, along with the caption "The future mrs j yeahhhhhhhh!!!"

Bandmate Tom Fletcher tweeted his congratulations to the singer.

"Super massive congratulations to @Dannymcfly and @GeorgiaHorsley1 on your engagement!!!!! Bloomin awesome news!!!!!"

Shortly afterwards he added: "Danny's getting married, Danny's getting married, na na na na hey! Na na na na hey!"

Danny Jones is the third member of the band to get engaged. Bandmates Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd both married last year.

Tom Fletcher's wedding speech was performed to a medley of McFly songs. The video has now reached 10 million YouTube views.

The news of Danny Jones's engagement comes after the announcement that the band are set to play two shows at London's Royal Albert Hall to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

McFly have had seven number one singles and sold 10 million albums.

Danny Jones took part in the first series of Popstar to Operastar but was eliminated from the competition in the fourth week.
