Ed Sheeran has officially been unveiled as part of the guest coach line-up for the new series of The Voice USA.
NBC named the singer, who will help returning coach Christina Aguilera mentor contestants, and three other guests appearing in the show.
Cher, R&B singer Miguel and One Republic's Ryan Tedder will help other coaches train their teams.
The official guest coach line-up comes three weeks after pictures of Sheeran and Aguilera appeared online.
The upcoming series of The Voice USA, set to be aired on American network NBC, is the fifth season of the show.
Cher will be an adviser to Blake Shelton, whose finalists have won The Voice the past three seasons; Tedder will team up with Maroon 5's Adam Levine; and Miguel will work with Cee Lo Green.
Paul Telegdy, President of late night and alternative programming at NBC Entertainment, said: "This group of wildly successful musicians will add their distinctive talents to their respective teams.
"I know Christina, Adam, Cee Lo and Blake are very much looking forward to having them come aboard."
Ed Sheeran is currently supporting Taylor Swift on her Red tour of America.
He has also just sold out two solo dates at New York's Madison Square Garden later this year.
The 22-year-old's debut album, +, went to number one in the UK album chart and peaked at number five in the US Billboard chart.
Past mentors for The Voice USA have included Pharrell Williams, Michael Buble, Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo, Robin Thicke and Kelly Clarkson.
Last month Jessie J said she wasn't sure about the future of the UK's version the competition.
The singer quit the show in July because of her work schedule and another judge, Danny O'Donoghue from The Script, left weeks later.
In July Will.i.am refused to confirm whether he was returning as a coach for series three of the show.
The coaching panel said in the past they would only continue in their roles if they were all in it together.
When asked if she thought there was a future for the show, Jessie J said: "I don't know, that's the honest truth. I can't predict the future."
The Voice USA starts on 23 September.
