Five books being turned into films in 2014

The first part of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay is out in 2014, beginning the conclusion of the adaptation of the teen trilogy.
Based on the novels by Suzanne Collins, the first two films have made millions.
They also encouraged fans to read the books, making Collins one of the best-selling authors in recent years.
With more film adaptations expected in 2014, here are the young adult novels set for the big screen.
The Maze Runner by James Dashner (Chicken House)
James Dashner's The Maze Runner, the first in series of four books, takes as its main character a boy named Thomas.
He arrives in the middle of a maze, with no knowledge of how he got there, soon realising he must find a way out, or die.
Dylan O'Brien, of Teen Wolf, will take the lead role in the film adaptation, with British stars Will Poulter, Kaya Scodelario and Thomas Brodie-Sangster all featuring.
It's currently expected to be released in the UK in October 2014.
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (Penguin)
Shailene Woodley stars as Hazel, a teenager with terminal cancer, who falls in love with Augustus Waters, played by Ansel Elgort.
The novel debuted at number one on The New York Times bestseller list.
Due out in June 2014, the film's supporting cast includes Sam Trammell, who plays the shapeshifter Sam Merlotte in True Blood.
The Giver by Lois Lowry (HarperCollins)
Taylor Swift, Alexander Skarsgard and Katie Holmes are just some of the stars cast in this science fiction movie, due in August.
The novel, published in 1993, was first suggested for a film more than 15 years ago.
The main character, Jonas, lives in a community who have eliminated pain, instead choosing "sameness".
Aged 12, he is chosen to become the Receiver of Memory, gaining knowledge of the time before, when unhappiness still existed.
Divergent by Veronica Roth (HarperCollins)
The fantasy genre is still proving popular, with Divergent released in the UK in April.
In the story, society is divided into five factions - Abnegation (the selfless), Candor (the honest), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent).
Beatrice Prior, 16, in choosing her faction, turns her back on her family and is plunged into danger.
Shailene Woodley will again take the lead role, with Ansel Elgort, also from The Fault in Our Stars, featuring in the movie. Kate Winslet has also been cast.
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead (Penguin)
Vampire Academy, due out in the US in February, has yet to have a release date for the UK confirmed.
Set at a boarding school for vampires, Zoey Deutch stars as Rose Hathaway, a half-human charged with protecting the pupils.
Sarah Hyland, best known for playing Haley Dunphy in US TV show Modern Family, also features.
