Will.i.am says he's "still thinking" about returning for the next series of The Voice.
The Black Eyed Peas singer has been talking to Radio 1's Greg James about the BBC series.
"I'm still thinking about it," he admitted on the drive time show.
"I love being in this country so I would come and do The Voice because I love the UK. And if I don't do The Voice then I'll be homesick, so that's what I'm having to juggle."
The star was joined by his teenage protégé Cody Wise during the interview.
"I met Cody when he was 14 years old," explained will.i.am.
"It was similar to The Voice where I had to like pitch [to sign him]. So, I'm like, 'Listen, I know you're 14, but one day you're not going to be 14 and you're going to have to figure out your career if you're basing your career off being young. I promise you that I will help you master your skills on producing and songwriting.'
"I think I won the pitch because now he's 18 and we finished his album and this is his first video for [their collaborative new single] It's My Birthday."
Their latest song was originally titled Birthday, but was re-named It's My Birthday to avoid confusion with the Katy Perry song of the same name.
When asked if he was considering retirement in the near future, will.i.am replied: "You know what rhymes with retire? Expire.
"We ain't expiring, we ain't retiring. If it rhymes with something bad you don't want it… [I'll just] energise the batteries. Lithium. Lithium pop."
Back in March, the BBC announced it had commissioned another two series of TV talent show, The Voice UK.
Kylie Minogue has since revealed she will not be returning as a judge.
Fellow mentor Ricky Wilson appeared during Greg James' interview with will.i.am.
He asked will.i.am about The Voice, but the US singer was cautious with his response.
Ricky added: "That's the only question people ask me at the moment and I've run out of good ways of answering it, so I can't answer it I'm afraid."
