Actor James Corden is rumoured to be in line to replace the host of US chat programme The Late Late Show.
Newsbeat asked his British publicity team but they gave a resounding "no comment".
A number of online blogs and websites are reporting that he is the frontrunner to replace Craig Ferguson in the 12.35am slot.
Craig Ferguson announced in April that he was stepping down from the show in December when his contract ends.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, external, and The Wrap, external, a source has confirmed Corden is in final talks, while some publications have gone further by claiming the job is his.
The Gavin and Stacey star has also hosted the Brits, but has said he wouldn't do it after this year.
Corden has a number of productions in the works including starring in Disney's musical epic, Into The Woods as the Baker alongside the likes of Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp and Anna Kendrick.
Corden isn't as well known in the States as he is in the UK, but he did impress US audiences with his performances in One Man, Two Guvnors, which won him a Tony theatre award in 2012.
The 35-year-old is expecting another child with his wife, Julia Carey.
He is also working on the second series of the BBC Two comedy-thriller The Wrong Mans.
Recently Corden said he supported the closure of BBC Three as an on-air channel.
The actor said it would find a natural home on iPlayer.
"It should always be at the forefront of what is fresh and exciting, and therefore it should be the first channel to exist online," he said.
