NME: The artists and bands to watch out for in 2015
- Published
NME has revealed the names of the artists it thinks will have a big impact on the music scene in 2015.
The list includes singer-songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr, UK rapper Loyle Carner and Madrid-based garage band Hinds.
Another top pick from the music magazine is Las Vegas born rapper Shamir, who says like his music, his image always stood out from the crowd.
"[In school] I stuck out like a sore thumb. The way I dressed, the way I looked, the way I talked," he said.
"I decided I'd give them something to look at, so I came to school dressed crazy and did my hair a different way every day," Shamir added.
The 20-year-old's attitude eventually led to him picking up the title for 'Best Dressed' and 'Most Likely To Appear On The Cover Of Vogue'.
"I didn't go to prom, because I was too punk, but if I ran I feel like I would have slayed them," he said.
The full list of 10 are revealed in NME's annual Radar issue.
