Florence Welch planned to round off her Saturday at Big Weekend by going to a student house party in Norwich. The reason? Her brother JJ is the host.

She apologised to the crowd at Earlham Park for having to sit down during her set because of a foot injury.

After ending her set with Dog Days Are Over, Florence invited JJ to join her for her interview with Newsbeat.

"JJ is covered in paint," she laughs as she talks backstage. "I told you we've got the same face."

"The original thought was if Flo was too tired, they'd just put a wig on me and put me on stage," JJ interrupts.

They really do look alike.

But what is it like to have Florence Welch as your sister? Florence jumps in with a "be nice".

"It is amazing," says JJ. "I've got a big family and I've seen her grow up over the past eight years.

"It was my 21st birthday recently and I asked her what she did on her 21st birthday and she said she was forming Florence and the Machine.

"So I've got a lot ahead of me. I've seen her go through it, so it's nothing really that different for me. I love her no matter what, she's my closest thing."

Then there was a close call with the pink paint JJ was covered in and the white trouser suit Florence had just performed in.

But for JJ, having his big, famous sister in Norwich performing while he studies at the University of East Anglia is "definitely weird".

Especially if she turns up at the party.

Imagine being at a house party and Florence Welch rocks up?

"It's two very different worlds and they're colliding quite heavily. And Flo didn't really lubricate it all. I mean it's cool."

Back to Florence's foot, which she injured jumping off stage at Coachella.

She wore sandals for her performance, meaning her feet were a little chilly.

"It's cold. It's fine, I can't really stand up on it for very long without the boot. And I would worry a bit.

"Because if I did, I wouldn't be able to help just running around. It's almost like I need the chair to remind me that I've got a broken foot. Otherwise I think I would just be off like a shot."

Florence said it will be "another couple of weeks" before her foot is fully recovered and she is able to use it.

"But then after that it's loads of physio and figuring out how to walk properly on it again," she admits.
