Wimbledon players are spamming Instagram with London selfies

You hear a lot about ice baths and sushi diets when it comes to top tennis players and their preparation for big tournaments.

But Instagram reveals the other side of the build-up to Wimbledon.

Andy Murray's been flying over London in a helicopter while Serena Williams has been chilling out with Netflix. Nick Kyrgios is getting ready for the grass by playing basketball while Grigor Dimitrov is cruising the underground.

And forget press-ups, world number one Novak Djokovic has been having a nice lie down.

Disclaimer: Newsbeat is pretty sure there has been a lot of hardcore training in between.

Anyway, we love Andy Murray's grin which he hashtagged "#rare" as he flew high above SW19.

One of the themes we've spotted is the London Underground.

They may be the world's elite tennis players but they are also tourists, as these pictures of Grigor Dimitrov and Maria Sharapova show.

Grigor is going for moody model chic as he cruises the Hammersmith and City line.

Now we're not quite sure what's going on here but we're glad Milos Raonic is having fun before the hard slog next week.

We really love rising Australian star Nick Kyrgios's pre-tournament tension-busting techniques.

Roger Federer has been taking some lovely grassy selfies in preparation for the tournament he's won seven times.

Tomas Berdych is similarly excited about the grass court season.

He wrote: "No need for comment about this place" as he posed on Centre Court.

And Rafa Nadal is feeling floral, despite his recent defeats at the French Open and Queen's.

One of the Spaniard's recent post shows him practising his serve. But the photographer is seemingly crouching behind a flower box.
