Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Who is the child?

JK Rowling is "very excited" to announce some huge Harry Potter news.

There's going to be a play next year in London called Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Accio next year.

So many emotions. So many hopes. So many questions.

She's not saying much because she doesn't want to spoil it but does say "it's not a prequel" and "it will be a new story".

JK Rowling tweeted: "It will tell a new story, which is the result of a collaboration between writer Jack Thorne, director John Tiffany and myself. #CursedChild."

JK Rowling tweeted: "It has been a huge pleasure to share with them (and soon, with you!) this untold part of Harry's story. #CursedChild."

The author also made sure to keep fans attention, with a bit more news.

JK Rowling tweeted: "To answer one inevitable (and reasonable!) question - why isn't #CursedChild a new novel? - I am confident that when audiences see the play."

JK Rowling continued: "They will agree that it was the only proper medium for the story. #CursedChild."
