After saying that he wouldn't return, it turns out Harry Shearer is returning to The Simpsons for a 27th season.

Which is good news, as he plays the voices of Ned Flanders and Mr Burns, who let's be honest are pretty central.

It was reported in May that he'd turned down a new pay deal, with Shearer claiming that he wanted "the freedom to do other work".

But Fox tweeted that "all principal cast members" had been re-signed.

The show's executive producer Al Jean had planned to re-cast Shearer's characters.

Newsbeat had even found a replacement...just in case.

But the man who's behind other characters like Lenny, Dr Hibbert, and many more ain't going anywhere, so relief all round.
