Ed Sheeran's landed himself a part in a gory new TV show. And this time, it's not just a cameo.
He's got a role in the medieval drama, The Bastard Executioner, which launches in the US in October.
It's billed as a "blood-soaked epic" telling the story of a 14th century warrior whose life is changed by "a divine messenger".
The singer's set to play Sir Cormac, who's described as a deadly and ambitious character.
Filming started in the UK this month and the cast includes Stephen Moyer, from True Blood, and Sons Of Anarchy's Katey Sagal.

Ed teased fans about the role earlier this year, saying he hoped fans would be surprised with his choice of genre.
"It's a medieval TV show and it's really, really dark," he told The Sun.
"It's gruesome and it's going to be fine because my friend wrote it. I feel like people would expect me to be in a romcom or something, so I wanted to be in something people don't expect me to."
The series is created by Kurt Sutter, the man behind Sons of Anarchy. They teamed up after exchanging tweets about Ed's love of the biking drama.

Ed then went on to record a version of Foy Vance's Make It Rain for the penultimate episode.
But ICYMI, this is isn't his first venture into acting.
The singer made a cameo appearance on Home and Away while in Australia earlier this year.
He also appeared in a live episode of US sitcom Undateable.
