Zac Efron says the reason the Baywatch film will be R-Rated is because it will be "big, real and raw".

In America R-Rated means people under the age of 17 must be with an adult when they watch the film.

"These days you kind of have to be R-Rated if you want to make it for our audience," Zac tells Newsbeat.

Not much has been revealed about the film, other than Dwayne Johnson - The Rock - will be involved. They haven't even said when they'll begin filming.

It means Zac's going to be working out even harder than normal.

"Next year I hope I'll be hitting the gym with The Rock," he says.

"He's going to be bench-pressing me and lifting me up."

BAYWHATNOW?

If you're unfamiliar with Baywatch - it was a TV show about lifeguards.

It wasn't about lifeguards who sit staring at the clock at the local leisure centre.

No, it was about lifeguards on Malibu beach and it was very exciting.

The TV cast included David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson and Yasmine Bleeth

They looked good and they saved lives.

Pamela Anderson, in character as CJ, was always giving CPR to someone - usually after they'd been stranded in a cave somewhere.

Imagine Holby City on the beach but without clothes - that's Baywatch.

Everyone was always in a rush too. Lots and lots of running.

The music to the opening sequence of Baywatch was sort of like the 90s version of the Gogglebox theme.

No matter what you were doing you stopped what you were doing and you just watched in awe.
