Pitch Perfect stars Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick

July 2017 will see Rebel Wilson, Anna Kendrick and the rest of the Barden Bellas return in the third instalment of Pitch Perfect.

And you could join them, for a split second, without even wrestling crocodiles or dingoes - and if you don't get that maybe don't apply.

Universal have opened "virtual auditions, external" for a walk-on part.

To be in the running, you'll need to recreate a clip from Pitch Perfect using Dubsmash.

Here are some of the cast giving a demo on the lip-sync app.

The winner will be announced on Monday 21 September.

Although auditioning via the art of mime is pretty new, it's not the first franchise to hold open auditions recently.

Star Wars announced British actor Pip Andersen and US-born Crystal Clarke had been cast for The Force Awakens through open auditions, while in June the BBC asked the public, external to apply for presenting jobs in the new-look Top Gear alongside Chris Evans.

Then, back in July thousands of young hopefuls queued up for the chance to audition for a role in JK Rowling's Harry Potter spin-off film after Warner Bros asked for a girl between eight and 12 to play the character of Modesty, alongside Eddie Redmayne, in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Pitch Perfect 2 has made over $250m (£163.7) worldwide.
