An online campaign was started to get the band's cover of Duran Duran's Save A Prayer into the Official Singles Chart following the tragedy.
It's entered the charts at number 96.
More than 7,000 people have joined the Facebook campaign, external which says it is aiming to show "solidarity against terrorism and support for peace."
The group pointed out they are not associated with the band and the aim of the campaign is not to make money but to make a statement.
"We're just fans of them (the band) that feel happy to be alive as some of our fellow EoDM are tragically no longer."
While many fans are supportive of the campaign, some have accused it of being "disgusting".
One fan wrote on their Facebook page: "Very poor taste to use such a tragedy to propel sales and a drive for a chart topping status."
Eagles of Death Metal have not commented on the campaign. The band left France on Saturday night.
The cut off for sales and streams for this week's Official Chart is midnight on Thursday, with the countdown announced on Greg James show on Friday afternoon on BBC Radio 1.
