Top Gear gives Matt LeBlanc a job without looking at Joey's car experience

Joey Tribbiani finally passed an audition.

It's been announced Friends actor Matt LeBlanc will be one of the new presenters of Top Gear.

It is the first time Top Gear will have a non-British host and he says he's "honoured and excited to be a part of this iconic show's new chapter. What a thrill!"

The show's producers clearly didn't take Joey's motoring experience into account when offering him the job.

His agent Estelle's obviously been looking down on him.

How YOU driving?

The one with the Porsche or por-sha.

Matt has previous for showing off in flash cars that he doesn't own.

Definitely nothing to do with the girls who liked the por-sha.

The one with the road trip.

Top Gear is famous for its endurance road trips around the world.

It might not be one for Matt though.

Not even renditions of Smelly Cat could keep him awake.

The one with the car backfiring.

No sudden engine noises for Matt please.

Although we'd all enjoy watching him trying to save his sandwich/ The Stig.

The one with Mac and C.H.E.E.S.E.

Joey wasn't very good working with technology on television.

He didn't get on with his co-presenter C.H.E.E.S.E.

Just remember Mr Evans, Joey doesn't share food.

The one where they leave a baby on a bus.

Clearly a prime candidate to lock the keys in the car.

Joey couldn't even remember he'd left a tiny person on public transport.

And finally there was the one with Top Gear.

It is possible that Joey and Matt aren't exactly the same when it comes to motoring.

Matt LeBlanc set - and still holds - the fastest-ever Star in a Reasonably Priced Car. He famously recorded an as-yet unbeaten lap time of 1m 42.1s in the Kia cee'd.

So that's that.

Top Gear will be back in May.

Oh and Radio 1 presenter Greg James had this to say.

Greg James tweeted: PLEASE LET THE STIG BE ROSS. PLEASE., external

That's not a bad idea.
