Kanye West claims he had Taylor Swift's blessing for lyrics in song about her

Kanye West says he had Taylor Swift's permission to include a rude lyric about her in one of his new songs.
In a series of tweets, the rapper said he didn't "diss" the singer and that he'd had an hour-long conversation with her about the words in Famous.
The line in question is: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made [her] famous."
That refers to the MTV VMAs in 2009 when Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech.
He got up on stage while she was giving her speech after winning best female video for You Belong With Me.
The rapper thought that it should have gone to Beyonce's Single Ladies instead.
The pair had buried the hatchet, but fans speculated that the new lyrics could start a new feud between the two music stars.
However, in a series of 15 tweets, Kanye West says the idea for the lyric actually came from Taylor Swift herself.
He also has a pop at the state of the music industry right now.
The lyrics about Taylor Swift were revealed at the launch for Kanye West's new album, The Life of Pablo, at Madison Square Garden in New York on Thursday night.
The 38-year-old also showcased his latest fashion collection Yeezy Season 3 and announced a video game.
Members of Taylor Swift's squad - including Gigi Hadid - defended the singer in a tweet.
Gigi had been to the album launch in New York.

In September, Kanye West sent a huge bunch of white roses to Taylor Swift after he announced he was going to run for US president in 2020.
He made the announcement while accepting the Video Vanguard Award presented by Taylor at the MTV Video Music Awards last September.
