Kanye West says he had Taylor Swift's permission to include a rude lyric about her in one of his new songs.

In a series of tweets, the rapper said he didn't "diss" the singer and that he'd had an hour-long conversation with her about the words in Famous.

The line in question is: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made [her] famous."

That refers to the MTV VMAs in 2009 when Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech.

He got up on stage while she was giving her speech after winning best female video for You Belong With Me.

The rapper thought that it should have gone to Beyonce's Single Ladies instead.

The pair had buried the hatchet, but fans speculated that the new lyrics could start a new feud between the two music stars.
