Adele says it was her piano microphones falling onto her piano strings which made her Grammy performance sound "out of tune".

She responded on Twitter after some people noticed her rendition of All I Ask didn't sound as it usually does.

CBS, the TV station the Grammys air on in America, said: "There was a brief 5-8 second technical issue that was out of our control."

The technical issue made a sort of guitar sound.

But Adele saw the funny side of it.

She tweeted: I'm treating myself to an in n out. So maybe it was worth it. , external

A perfect excuse to go large with your takeaway, Adele.

People started joking online that the sound guy was going to lose his job because of it.

One user wrote: Sound guy. You had one job. Don't screw up @Adele's performance. You're fired., external

Another wrote: Welp. Sound guy just lost his job. @Adele @TheGRAMMYs, external

And an America radio host joked: RIP to the sound guy that just messed up @Adele's performance #GRAMMYs , external

At the end of the performance though she remained composed and gave a shout out to the big winner of the night.

She said: "I love you Kendrick. You're amazing."

Kendrick Lamar took home five awards for: best rap album, best rap performance, best rap/ sung collaboration, best rap song and best music video for Bad Blood with Taylor Swift.
