Justin Bieber settles a lawsuit with a photographer

Justin Bieber's settled a lawsuit with a photographer who claimed the star kicked and punched him.

Jose Osmin Hernandez Duran had sued the singer for assault and emotional distress.

He claimed the star attacked him outside a shopping centre in Los Angeles while on a date with Selena Gomez in 2012.

A trial was due to start yesterday, but Duran's lawyer said the case had been resolved - under confidential terms.

Duran stated that he was taking photos of the now 22-year-old driving out of a parking space when the singer got out and kicked and punched him before driving off.

The photographer said it: "Left him with severe emotional distress."

It's not the first time Justin's settled legal claims against him.

In 2013, his bodyguards were accused by a Miami-based photographer, Jeffrey Binion, of attacking him.

It was settled confidentially and it's not known if any money was paid to him.

And a year later, Justin was also sued by Florida photographer, Manuel Muñoz, who claimed the singer's security chased and beat him up.

The singer's been in trouble with the police himself several times and agreed to anger management classes in 2014.

He pleaded guilty to careless driving and resisting arrest and also pleaded no contest to egging a neighbours house a month earlier.

The star's admitted in the past that: "Growing up in this business is hard."

He released a public apology online last year saying sorry for the way he behaved during the previous 12 months.
