Nicole Scherzinger 'doing X Factor' after leaving Broadway musical Cats

Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly returning to The X Factor.
According to Andrew Lloyd Webber, she dropped out of her role in Cats at the last minute.
He said he was "furious" when Nicole decided to leave the musical a week before rehearsals were due to start.
Nicole appeared on The X Factor in 2012. The team behind the show have told Newsbeat "discussions are still ongoing" about who'll be on the next judging panel.
"We'll reveal our decision shortly," they added.
Nicole's been in touch with Newsbeat but she didn't mention The X Factor.
"I had every intention of doing Cats on Broadway but the contract was never finalised," she said.
"I am incredibly blessed to be given so many amazing opportunities, including Cats but unfortunately we weren't able to make it work this time around.
"I adore and respect Andrew, I'm so grateful for our friendship and can't wait for the opportunity to create more magic together."
She might have to wait a while for that magic.
In an interview with the Economist, Andrew said Nicole was "crazy" for passing up her chance to appear on Broadway.
"A week before we were due to go into rehearsals with Cats, she calls me and says she's decided to do X Factor," he said.
And he couldn't resist having a subtle dig at the former Pussycat Doll.
"She's actually not that well known in America. She's better known [in the UK]," he added.
Earlier this week, Rita Ora announced she was leaving the show.

That means Simon is the only confirmed judge for the new series.
