Aptly named The Return of Doggystyle, it's due out on July 1. He's also been uploading new tracks to SoundCloud, under his Doggy Style Records label.
It's been 23 years since Snoop Dogg released his first, and best-known, album, which featured the singles Who Am I? (What's My Name?) and Gin and Juice.
He announced the news in a Facebook video earlier in the week.

In the video, he says he's restarted Doggy Style Records and wants to "release 100 singles before August."
He also invited artists to send him their music for consideration, saying he wants to "represent the generation that ain't got no voice right now".
"If [your music] gets enough streams or views, we'll put it on iTunes," he continues.
Producer Just Blaze, who is working on the new album, told XXL magazine, external that he was "very excited" about it.
"I was very excited to find out that that's the direction he's taking with this album," he said.
"Some of the stuff that I've been working on lately... felt like an updated version of that old Death Row sound," he added, referring to the now-defunct hip-hop label Snoop's first album was released on.
The Return of Doggystyle will be Snoop's thirteenth album.
