Frank Ocean has broken the silence surrounding his second album, Boys Don't Cry, seemingly confirming it will be released in July.

The Grammy-winner has republished a post from July 2015 suggesting it would be would be released that month.

The image shows him posing with copies of a magazine, also called Boys Don't Cry.

"'I got two versions. I got twoooo versions.' #ISSUE1 #ALBUM3 #JULY2015," he wrote in the caption.

A new post suggests the album's release has been pushed back 16 times since July 2015.

Frank Ocean's younger brother, Ryan Breaux, has also hinted at the release date, tweeting a link to the singer and rapper's website and "#JULY2016".

Now, we don't like to brag but if this is in fact the release date, we (kind of) predicted this one.

As speculation around his new album grew in August 2015 Newsbeat hinted that he might have meant July 2016 rather than 2015.

Frank Ocean's first album Channel Orange, which came out in 2013, was critically acclaimed around the world and won a BRIT Award and a Grammy for best urban contemporary album.

We still don't know for sure who has collaborated with him on Boys Don't Cry, but last month James Blake, who credits Ocean on two of the songs on his latest album The Colour In Everything, told Pitchfork the singer "is onto something, he really is".
