My Chemical Romance rule out a possible comeback after teaser video
- Published
My Chemical Romance have denied they're re-forming, despite hinting at a reunion.
Hopes were raised after the band released a 30-second teaser video on Twitter.
The clip shows a flag blowing in the wind accompanied with the piano intro from one of the bands most iconic songs, Welcome to the Black Parade.
However, they've now confirmed it's purely to mark the anniversary of the song.
Writing on Facebook, the band said: "We've been really touched and blown away by the response to the teaser trailer. We are not touring and there is no reunion planned - only a release for the anniversary of The Black Parade.
"Thanks so much for continuing to keep MCR in your minds and in your hearts."
This year will mark a decade since Black Parade was released. It gave the band their only UK number one.
It is three years since frontman Gerard Way announced they were splitting up.

The New Jersey group formed in 2001 and have released four albums together.
They announced they were breaking up in 2013 in a statement written by Gerard Way.
"Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing," he said. "We've gotten to go places we never knew we would.
"We've been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible.
"We've shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends.
"And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end."
For the time being, things look like they're staying that way.
Welcome to the Black Parade was taken from the 2005 album, The Black Parade, which also included the singles Teenagers and I Don't Love You.
