Footage of Kit Harington from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is released

Footage of Kit Harington from the new Call of Duty game has been released.

Newsbeat has been given access to the film, which shows the Game of Thrones actor playing one of the main characters in COD: Infinite Warfare.

British film director Guy Ritchie was in charge of Kit Harington's scenes.

"It was great to have him back to work with us, assisting in bringing Kit Harington's character to life," Infinity Ward studio head Dave Stohl told Entertainment Weekly, external.

The Sherlock Holmes director has previously worked with Call of Duty on a live-action trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

He also had full facial scans for the project and is shown being wheeled into a cage full of cameras.

Kit is from the enemy faction in the game, the SDF (Settlement Defence Front).

"Kit is an amazing talent, and the consummate pro," said Infinity Ward narrative director Taylor Kurosaki.

"Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces, and Kit immersed himself into the role and truly became the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defence Front.

"We can't wait for fans to see Kit play an entirely different kind of character."

Kit Harington joins other actors to have appeared in Call of Duty games.

House of Cards star Kevin Spacey was in Advanced Warfare in 2014 while Chris Meloni from Law and Order: SVU was in Black Ops III.

Infinite Warfare is released on 4 November.
