Justin Timberlake is 'slapped' at charity golf tournament in Nevada

A man has been arrested after appearing to touch Justin Timberlake's face at a celebrity charity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

In a video obtained by showbiz website TMZ, Justin is seen walking through a crowd of people before a hand grazes the side of his face.

Justin turned around and yelled, "Bro, why would you do that?"

His security moved the 35-year-old on but were later seen talking to the suspect.

In a statement Douglas County Undersheriff Paul Howell said "Keith Weglin, 29, of Sacramento, California, was booked into the county jail for the misdemeanour on Saturday afternoon, posted $640 bail and was released late that night".

The Undersheriff added that Mr Weglin was arrested for his conduct as deputies were escorting him from the course "after the 'touching' of Timberlake".

"It is not related to the contact he made with him."

The statement went on to say that Mr Weglin "was allegedly intoxicated when he 'inappropriately touched' Timberlake's face."

"Mr. Timberlake declined to press charges and officers directed the fan to leave the premises,'' adding that Mr Weglin "became disorderly and argumentative and was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct.''

It will be up to the district attorney's office to decide whether to file formal charges.

Justin Timberlake finished 21st in the golf tournament with 35 points.

Former baseball player Mark Mulder won the competition with 74 points earning $125,000 (£95,000) for charity.
