Sia's promoter denies she's being sued by fans over a 65-minute concert in Israel

Sia's promoter has denied claims that the singer is being sued in Israel.

A group of fans has reportedly launched a joint court case against the star, accusing her of performing an unusually short concert and showing a pre-recorded video on screens at Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park instead of the performance.

According to the Jerusalem Post, external, some of the crowd also accused Sia of a "lacklustre" performance.

But speaking in IQ, external, Ilan Elkayam says he's yet to receive an official claim.

The CEO of promoters Tandi Productions said he had reviewed the arguments and respond in court when he saw the lawsuit.

He said: "We wish to emphasise that the performance was extremely successful and we have received hundreds of comments from satisfied fans who thoroughly enjoyed the performance and the production.

"In addition, it should be noted, that to the best of our knowledge, the claim was not submitted against Sia herself."

Fans are also complaining about what they call the "impersonal live vocals" at the gig on 11 August, saying the 40-year-old Australian singer stayed at the back of the stage for the entire performance and didn't interact with the crowd.

Lawn tickets at Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park cost £70 each and the lawsuit is demanding compensation of eight million shekels (£1.6m) in total.

Fans say they spent hours getting to the venue, then waiting for the show to start and had to contend with heavy traffic on the way home.

Sia's performing at V Festival this weekend.

The singer started her career in Australia but made her name as a backing singer for Jamiroquai and vocalist for Zero 7.

Sia's most successful single so far is Cheap Thrills featuring Sean Paul, which made it to number one in America and number two in the UK earlier this year.

Her 2014 album 1000 Forms of Fear also topped the Billboard 200 album chart in the US.

That record featured Chandelier, which propelled the singer to stardom and had an iconic video.
