Makela St. Fort

The 19-year-old from Toronto had her taste of viral fame, after she shared an embarrassing first date story on Twitter.

"I have a story to tell. It is about my poop," she tweeted.

The toilet wouldn't flush after she went back to her date's house.

So, she said she did what any girl would do and "removed the one poop from the toilet" and put it in her purse.

Chewbacca Mom

In May, Candace Payne went viral after she posted a Facebook video of herself laughing while wearing a Chewbacca mask.

During an appearance on James Corden's The Late Late Show the busy mum explained how she had 30 minutes to kill before she picked up her kids.

"I knew the moment that they saw it they would take it from me," she told the talk show host.

Damn Daniel!

Daniel Lara, 14, became the most quotable teen of 2016 when videos of his friend complementing his pristine white Vans appeared on Vine.

In the videos, his friend turned videographer Josh Holz admires his favourite trainers by saying, "Damn Daniel! Back at it again with the white vans!"

Teacher Bae

Fourth grade teacher Patrice "Tricey" Brown was at the centre of a sexist debate when she gained overnight fame for her social media pictures.

Some questioned, external if her attire was "better suited for the club than the classroom" and others even questioned her competence as a teacher.

But amongst the noise, the internet started cooing over her good looks and figure and she became known worldwide as #TeacherBae.

Australian comedian Celeste Barber went viral when she started posting recreations of celebrity yummy mummy photos on Instagram.

She started with recreations of glamorous editorial photo shoots in 2015, but her account took off when she recreated this photo of Kim Kardashian and her daughter North West.

She's since taken on Chrissy Teigen, J-Lo and Victoria Beckham.
