Top dating tips from one of Tinder's 13 most 'swiped right' UK users
- Published
Tinder has identified 13 of its most "swiped right" UK users for Cosmopolitan Magazine, external.
The group is a mix of students, musicians, businessmen and women, models and company owners.
Gaming firm director Daniel Beard, 34, is one of them.
"It's a complete shock," he told Newsbeat. "It's an ego boost if I'm being honest.
"I don't use Tinder that often - I guess 20 or 30 minutes before I go to bed."
Daniel may be one of the dating app's most popular men but he says he doesn't actually go on that many dates.
"I haven't been on scores and scores of dates. I've become more selective. I haven't had any horror dates [but] it's been good fun."
So how do you become the most swiped right on Tinder?
Here are some of Daniel tips...
Photos are really important - make them stand out
"I had an almost zero success rate when I swiped right and it never matched.
"So I got my friend Paul to go through my Instagram and pick out the best photos and send them to me.
"He didn't photoshop them because I'm really against that whole filtering thing - you can't turn up to a date and look wildly different to your photos.
"He did something to make the colours come out or something.
"My success rate went up and I had more matches - so credit to him."
So what pictures should you post on your profile?
Daniel says you should pick pictures that represent yourself best.
"I have a series of pictures which are relevant to my personality," he says.
"So I have a picture of when I'm on holiday - normally you're tanned, you've had a haircut and you're happy.
"I have a group shot with friends to show I'm sociable."
Make your bio easy to understand
Daniel keeps his bio simple.
"I read that 90% of women wouldn't swipe right unless you'd written something about yourself.
"So I just wrote a few bullet points with my height, what I do and a link to my Instagram."
Link your Tinder account with your Instagram

Like many Tinder users, Daniel links his profile to his Instagram feed to give potential matches a bit more of an insight into his life.
There are lots of pictures of him on holiday, playing rugby and generally having a good time.
He says that gives girls the impression he's authentic, down to earth and hopefully good company on a date.
Tell potential matches how tall you are

Daniel makes sure he tells girls how tall he is in his bio.
"I'm tall, so if you talk about stereotyping, girls like tall guys and I'm 6"4."
Tell potential partners what you do for a living
Daniel is a gaming company director and makes sure that his job title is in his bio.
"For some people a job is really important," he says.
"It gives you a window into what you do because your job is a really important part of yourself.
"Hopefully you're in a job that you really enjoy and that you're really passionate about.
"That's why I put it in."
