Four surprising moments from last night's Grammys
- Published
So we all know that Adele beat Beyonce at the Grammy Awards, taking home a total of five gongs including the big three.
That's the headline you've been reading everywhere.
But when you think about it who really cares about the winners?
We've found four moments from last night that you will actually remember, once we've told you.
You're welcome.
CeeLo Green's outfit... does he want a job standing still in Covent Garden?
What better way to boss an awards ceremony than by dressing up as... an award?
That was clearly CeeLo Green's logic. He wasn't actually nominated for anything, but still showed up dressed entirely in gold wearing a gold superhero mask.
The singer was apparently in character as his alter-ego Gnarly Davidson, who now has his own Instagram account.
Adele's broken award... ah well, she's got a few spares
She's got a lot of them, so if anyone was going to break an award in two it was going to be Adele.
The singer set aside half of her album of the year trophy for Beyonce, who was also nominated in the category.
"I can't possibly accept this award," she explained, "and I'm very humbled and very grateful and gracious but my life is Beyonce."
Chance the Rapper's 'congrats' text
Chance the Rapper was the night's breakthrough success, winning best new artist, best rap album and best rap performance.
The record in question, Coloring Book, is the first ever streaming-only album to win at the awards.
And this earned him some encouragement from a famous friend.

Aaaaand... Rihanna's hipflask
She was nominated for six awards but didn't win anything last night. We're not sure Rihanna was too bothered though.
She spent the evening sipping from a bejewelled hip flask.
And that's the type of thing that tends to attract attention.
