Sia, Slaves, Bastille and Blossoms - some Record Store Day releases you'll want to know about
- Published
Little Mix, Blossoms and Sia are all putting out exclusive releases in a few weeks for Record Store Day.
More than 500 special edition records are being lined up for the event's 10th anniversary on Saturday 22 April.
It aims to "celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store" but, more importantly, it gives you access to rare music.
The full list can be found here, external but we've picked some of the records coming from Radio 1's favourite artists.
Slaves
Slaves are are one of five official champions of the RSD 2017, along with Anton Newcombe, Kate Tempest, Kate Nash and Izzy Bizu.
They're releasing their second album Take Control on white vinyl with a rose-gold foil cover and a photo diary.
Sia
She's one of the biggest artists in the world and one of the biggest names on the list of releases.
Sia will release an exclusive set, playing her entire album, recorded for Spotify, and this will be the first time it's made available in a physical format.
Bastille
Bastille have really got into Record Store Day this year by releasing a brand new track called Comfort of Strangers.
The B-side is the unreleased acoustic live version of Warmth which is on their second album Wild World.
The vinyl itself will be a white 7".
The sleeve and innersleeve will be covered in "holofoil". That's the shiny holographic foil you might remember from your Pokemon days.
Little Mix
RSD has gone pop in recent years which explains why Little Mix are releasing a new version their album Glory Days.
If you love them you probably have it, but do you have it on vinyl in neon pink with an exclusive poster? Well on 22 April you can.
Blossoms
Blossoms are releasing a live album recorded at last year's Festival No. 6 in Portmeirion, Wales.
This will be a gorgeous-looking picture 10" LP.
