An America's Got Talent performance from a singing doctor, who was killed in a car crash before his audition was aired, has been shared online.

Brandon Rogers was killed in a car crash on 11 June after he was filmed for the current series of the US talent show.

The video was shared online and broadcast on TV at the request of his family.

Brandon had previously found viral fame online with videos of his performances.

In the audition, Brandon is seen speaking to his mum on the phone while waiting to audition for the show.

He also reveals that she was the reason he studied medicine, after seeing doctors save her life after an incident in their home when he was six years old.

Brandon performed Stevie Wonder's Ribbon In The Sky during his audition, which got a yes vote from all four America's Got Talent judges.

Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel showered Brandon with praise after he sang - for his voice, his looks and his professionalism.

Simon told the aspiring singer he was "one of the best singers in the competition".

He also won the approval of the show's host, model and presenter, Tyra Banks.

Brandon was involved in a traffic accident in Maryland on Saturday 10 June and died a day later.

It was initially reported that TV producers were uncertain whether to broadcast his audition.

Brandon phoned his mum after his audition to share the good news

His brother Danni said he couldn't "wait for the world to see" Brandon's audition in an Instagram post before the broadcast.
