A Day To Remember say the UK rock scene is 'mindblowing'

Rock band A Day To Remember say the UK's punk rock scene is "booming" at the moment.

The US group, who've been rising up the bill at festivals over the past decade, joked that they themselves need to become a "UK-based band".

Lead guitarist Kevin Skaff claims there is "so much amazing music coming out of the UK", mentioning the likes of Bring Me The Horizon and Creeper.

"The talent is mindblowing," says Skaff.

"They're all becoming the biggest bands of their genres, which I think is awesome."

British bands Neck Deep and Moose Blood were chosen to support the band on their most recent British tour.

"We met Creeper at Radio 1's Rock Week. That band are so energetic and I'm gutted we missed seeing them at Download."

ADTR released their sixth studio album, Bad Vibrations, in 2016.

It was released almost by surprise after the band tried to fool fans into thinking that lead single Paranoia was a one-off.

"For the moment, new music plans are on hold," says Skaff. "We're coming up to a year since Bad Vibrations came out, so we're still promoting that."

Of course, that could just be an outright fib.

In an interview last year, frontman Jeremy McKinnon said that surprise records were a more exciting way of releasing new music.

"Beyonce put out two records in a row where she just dropped the things out of nowhere," he told Kerrang. "I think people love that whole anticipation thing."
